Hilary Robinson

台湾六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 Professor of Feminism, Art, and Theory, Hilary Robinson, was granted this year鈥檚 Award for Distinguished Feminist Scholarship at the College Art Association鈥檚 annual conference in Chicago. Hilary is the fourth UK academic, and the second academic from 台湾六合彩开奖记录, to be granted the Award following Professor Emerita Marsha Meskimmon winning it last year.

As the world’s preeminent subject association for art history, theory, and practice, of Distinction recognise scholars’ international standing and contribution to the field.

The organisation commented "Hilary Robinson is one of the most engaged, renowned, and influential feminist art historians, theorists, educators, administrators, curators, and critics working today. Her knowledge of feminist contemporary art, art history, and theory is encyclopedic and throughout her career, she has consistently endeavored to shine a light on the wide range of political and artistic approaches that can be categorized as feminist art.

By establishing vital and accessible archives of feminist art and the theoretical ideas with they are in dialogue, Dr. Robinson has expanded the purview of scholarship in feminist art history. We believe the impact and contribution of her original scholarship need to be contextualized alongside her significant work as an editor of foundational feminist art anthologies, a mentor of many leading feminist art historians, a curator, an academic arts administrator, a principal investigator of large collaborative research projects, a board member, and finally, an activist. Each of these contributions have helped make the study and practice of feminist art more expansive and inclusive."

Congratulations Hilary!
