Are British people who migrate 鈥榚xpats,鈥� 鈥榤igrants鈥� or 鈥榞lobal citizens?鈥�
My research addresses this question by looking at the relationship between migration and global identities. It examines how British migrants, by virtue of their passport, are privileged in comparison to other migrants. It thinks about how British people use the term expat.
But, as well as the exclusivities of British migrants, in transnational business organisations and how global citizenship is understood by .
So, my research gets at some key geographical questions: how can we live in an increasingly globalised world? How do we challenge negative perceptions associated with migration and celebrate our diverse societies?
