Collecting your ID card

When you arrive on campus, you will need to collect your student ID card to complete the registration process and officially enrol at ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼. Your student ID card will provide access to buildings across the campus, including the library, halls of residence and the Students’ Union. It also proves your student status.

In order to receive your card, you must have fully completed online registration (including uploading a suitable photograph) at least three working days before in-person registration. You are required to show your passport and, where applicable, your visa, or other appropriate documents so that the University can confirm your right to study in the UK.

UK/Irish students (UK fee status) in University halls of residence

If you are paying UK tuition fees and are a UK or Irish national, you will receive your ID card when you move into your hall of residence. You must have completed online registration at least three working days before your hall’s official arrival date.

You will need to bring your UK or Irish Passport, or UK/Channel Islands/Isle of Man/Republic of Ireland Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate and evidence of National Insurance number (NI card/letter from government body/employer).  A driving licence will not be accepted as evidence of your right to study in the UK.

If your card is not available when you move into halls, we will contact you with further information.

UK/Irish students (UK fee status) at the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ campus (outside of halls)

If you are paying UK tuition fees and are a UK or Irish national and living off campus, in-person registration will take place in the  on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 September 2024. You will need to book an appointment to collect your ID card and will receive an email when the booking system opens.

You will need to bring your UK or Irish Passport, or UK/Channel Islands/Isle of Man/Republic of Ireland Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate and evidence of National Insurance number (NI card/letter from government body/employer). A driving licence will not be accepted as evidence of your right to study in the UK.

Non-UK/Irish students at the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ campus

International registration will take place in the from Monday 16 to Friday 27 September 2024. You will need to bring your original immigration documents so that we can confirm your right to study in the UK and issue your student ID card.

If you hold a Student visa and requested that your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) be sent to the University, it should be available for collection at your registration appointment. BRPs will not be distributed from the Student Records & Operations counter during the registration period.

Once you have completed online registration and your ID card is in production, you will receive an email about booking an appointment to confirm your right to study in the UK and collect your student ID card.

All students at the London Campus

If you are studying at the London campus, you will find details of the registration event on the London campus registration page. You should not travel to the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ campus to complete your registration. You will need to bring your original immigration documents so that we can confirm your right to study in the UK and issue your student ID card.
