Creative Community Day returns to campus on Saturday 27 October and those with a passion for writing, crafting and performing are invited to come along and showcase their artistic abilities!

The event – which takes place from 1pm-5pm - aims to inspire people of all ages through a fun range of creative workshops, activities and competitions.

From poetry writing and book swaps, to creating festive decorations and making your own Halloween slime, the sessions in the Martin Hall Building incorporate subject areas from the .

Many of the workshops – such as Build a Pavilion - also link to degree programmes from other Schools including  and .

 will also be running a variety of activities and workshops on the day, including face painting and Greenscreen Fun! - an interactive session with the  team that allows users to be instantly transported to a television studio, an exotic beach or even the other side of the world!

In addition, the University’s art programme, , will host a screen printing workshop which will be led by Sumiko Eadon, a freelance printmaking tutor and an alumna of the University.

The Creative Community Day is free for all to attend, but it is recommended that guests  in order to gain quicker entry on the day and to reserve spaces on workshops with limited capacity.
