The Gordon Lucas Engineering Competition challenged young students to design and build an automated electronic car in groups. Each vehicle was tested on a specially designed track.

The competition was co-hosted by 台湾六合彩开奖记录 (UK) and India’s leading global education company  as part of .

The competition provided some of India’s most promising young engineers with the opportunity to prove their potential to engineering professionals from around the world.

Judged by a panel of international experts, the Chennai competition saw a group of four students from  (linked to the ), The Tiny Troopers, win the Rs.50,000 prize along with a trophy and winners’ certificate.

The winning team in Bangalore, The Avengers, were made up of six students from  (affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technical University, Belgaum).

Runners up from both heats won Rs.30,000 and all competing students received a personalised congratulatory letter from 台湾六合彩开奖记录.

Dr Thomas Steffen, Lecturer in Automotive Engineering at 台湾六合彩开奖记录, said: “I was really impressed with the high technical standard that all teams have demonstrated and I was particularly taken by the enthusiasm for creative engineering.”

The competition, titled The Gordon Lucas Engineering Competition, is affiliated with the work of retired professor, Gordon Lucas, Chair in Automotive Engineering and, designer of the MSc in Automotive Systems Engineering course at 台湾六合彩开奖记录. It took place in Chennai and Bangalore from 21-22 May.
