Commuter Students Welcome Event 2024

About this event

An event to help formally welcome commuter students to campus to help ease their transition into University life. The welcome event is specially tailored to students who will be commuting to ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ for their studies.

During the event you will hear from staff and students and there will be the opportunity to find out more about:

  • Welcome from ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ and ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Students Union
  • Making the most of your ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Experience
  • The support the University provides in terms of your academic and personal life
  • Student Success Academy
  • Student Ambassador Scheme
  • ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Sport, and ways to get involved
  • LU Arts, our student-focused arts programme which gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy and/or get involved in the arts during your time at ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼

̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ staff member completes 1,500-mile Rome2Home cycle challenge in aid of Wishes 4 Kids

Richard Bebbington, HR Product Manager within the IT Services team at the University, and his wife Ange have completed their remarkable 1,500-mile Rome2Home cycle challenge in support of the charity Wishes 4 Kids.

Professor Will Seal

We are very sad to inform you that Emeritus Professor Will Seal, has died.
