Penny releases third psychological thriller

Alumna Penny Batchelor released her book The Reunion Party earlier this year. It is her third psychological thriller novel, following on from her first two books, Her New Best Friend and My Perfect Sister.

Penny latest book follows five characters who are unlikely to have met had it not been for Tania Armstrong-Jones. An ‘it’ girl, Tania “stormed into each of their lives with her beguiling grace and an inseparable friendship was formed”.

The book features a tragedy that tears the group apart – with Tania being taken away too soon. They reunite twenty-five years later at a remote country hotel on the anniversary of her death.

At the party, there’s revelations, secrets shared, and questions around trust.

“Trapped in the hotel with no way out and with no one they can trust, who will make it through the reunion in one piece?”

Penny also has a short story, ‘The Dilemma,’ which appears in , an anthology to raise money for The Trussell Trust. She is a co-founder and judge of the , a columnist for The Bookseller and speaks regularly at literary festivals.

Penny graduated with a degree in Information and Library Management in 2005.
