After 16 years in industry, in 1976, Keith Hearnden became a tutor in the Department of Continuing Education at ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ where he remained until 1996. 

At ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼, he pioneered postgraduate Security and Risk Management Education, writing several books and papers on the subject of business security.
